PLAYING ARRANGEMENTS
TRAINING SESSIONS & MATCHES
Your team coach will keep you updated on dates and venues of training sessions and matches. Training is primarily at Burradon Recreation Ground and we ask that you treat the facilities and surrounding areas with respect.
Attendance at training sessions is important as this is where skills and tactics are practised between matches. Non-attendance at a training session may jeopardise player’s chance to be in the starting squad on a match day. Please inform us as soon as possible if your child cannot attend a training session or match to enable the coach to plan around this.
Players are expected to arrive for a match at least 30 minutes before kick off and be wearing the correct kit. They should come suitably dressed for the weather conditions and bring a drink.
Shin pads and correct footwear must be worn at training and matches, as without them, players will not be allowed to take part.
Should a player need an inhaler or access to a specific medication then please ensure that this is brought to matches and training.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
As a club, one of our objectives is the personal development of players in a football environment. We promote equal playing time for players as much as this is feasible.
As players get older, we will assist in opportunities such as referee and coaching courses.
We will also look for opportunities for players to move into open age football and continue their playing career, progressing, if appropriate, to AFC Burradon and New Fordley FC.
TOURNAMENTS
Tournaments will be selected based on cost, location and team development.
Some additional fundraising and/or contributions from parents/carers may be necessary to cover costs.
END OF SEASON PRESENTATION
To celebrate the achievements of both teams and individual players, the Club hosts a presentation event at the end of the season. We will advise you of the date, time and venue nearer the time
